Meet the Team
MEG
MIDWIFE / DIRECTOR
Hi I’m Meg. I’m a director of ITAVM, mum to four, step mum to two, and passionate midwife. I felt called to midwifery after birthing my youngest two babies at home.
For me midwifery means serving women so they feel confident to step into their power as mothers. I love witnessing the growth that happens through the rite of passage of pregnancy and birth. It’s an amazing privilege to walk beside women and their families as they meet and get to know their babies, I feel honoured every time to be invited to be a part of their journey.
MAE’T
MIDWIFE / DIRECTOR
Hi my name is Mae’t and I am a director at ITAV midwifery and a midwife, wife and mum to three special humans.
My passion is for empowered women and families, undisturbed and calm birthing and women that feel like they did it! This comes from being at the centre, always having a choice and being heard deeply.
CLEL
MIDWIFE
Hi, my name is Clel. I am a midwife, wife and mama to three young people. I was called to midwifery and homebirth after experiencing the transformative power of birth on my own terms.
I see pregnancy and birth as part of the continuum of life, a rite of passage that is a physiological process where women should feel supported, loved, confident, respected and capable. It is a privilege witnessing the journey from maiden to mother, supporting families to emerge, grow and thrive.
BECKY
MIDWIFE
Hello! My name is Becky. I’m a Registered, Endorsed Midwife and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
I am passionate about motherhood, midwifery and breastfeeding! I believe that growing, birthing and nurturing another human being is one of the most sacred, profound and powerful acts a person can achieve.
HAYLEY
MIDWIFE
Hi, I'm Hayley! I'm an endorsed midwife here at ITAV.
It's hard to put into words just how meaningful it is to walk alongside women and families through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. To me, midwifery is about meeting women where they are at, building strong relationships, honouring the mutual exchange of knowledge & experiences, and supporting each person to make the choices that feel right for them. I care deeply that women feel nurtured, informed, respected, and supported during this profound chapter of their lives.
Everybody deserves to be held by a known midwife as they navigate the new & the unknown - it is one of my greatest joys to be in a position to do so.
MIRIAM
Midwife
My desire to be with women stems back as long as I can remember, watching and listening to my mum and aunties talk about breastfeeding and birth. My lifelong friend and midwifery mentor invited me to the birth of her last child when I was 15 years old. It was here I witnessed raw, physiological, family-centred birth which cemented my desire to become a midwife.
I have been a midwife for 16 years now and while I have worked in both the hospital and home settings, Homebirth is where my heart is.
JODI
Office Manager
Hi! I’m Jodi, I am the ITAV Office Manager and mama to two young boys. Proudly born at home myself, I have been fascinated by birth since I was little. Witnessing my mother bring my siblings into this world powerfully and peacefully at home was such a beautiful gift and lit a fire within me to see all women have the opportunity for an empowered pregnancy and birth experience.
While my own motherhood journey has been very different to what I had dreamed, with 2 premature bubbas (and all the challenges that can come with that experience!) it has only made me more passionate about women-centred, holistic care and reinforced the importance of having a Village to lean on. I love that I get to help foster that now for the families who walk through our doors.
