MEG

MIDWIFE / DIRECTOR

Hi I’m Meg. I’m a director of ITAVM, mum to four, step mum to two, and passionate midwife. I felt called to midwifery after birthing my youngest two babies at home.

For me midwifery means serving women so they feel confident to step into their power as mothers. I love witnessing the growth that happens through the rite of passage of pregnancy and birth. It’s an amazing privilege to walk beside women and their families as they meet and get to know their babies, I feel honoured every time to be invited to be a part of their journey.

SORCA

MIDWIFE

My name is Sorca. I am a mama, a wife and a midwife. I came into midwifery through strong advocacy for women's birthing choices and a core philosophical trust in a woman's body to grow, birth and nurture her babes.

I am passionate about cultivating a community of wise women who believe in themselves and support one another. I am a placenta arts specialist and childbirth educator.

Jaya

Midwife

Hi I’m Jaya, I have been a midwife for 8 years and i am located in the northern Gold Coast region. I am also a homebirth mum myself. having my last baby at home in 2008.

To me midwifery is witnessing the passage from early pregnancy, birth and into the 4th trimester and i really value the opportunity to be welcomed into such a life-changing journey. I am particularly passionate about quality information sharing, whilst being present form women as they make the big decisions regarding their birth and their baby.
